Our doctors are always happy to see patients, but here are some tips on keeping illness at bay, and the need for a doctor away.

HUGGING!  Hugging stimulates the release of oxytocin and immune function.  Additionally, in a 2010 study from Ohio State University found that couples with more positive communication behaviors have higher levels of oxytocin and they heal faster from wounds.

Hugging is a very positive communication behavior that stimulates the white blood cell producing hormones which defend against infection.  Hugs lower stress, the number one killer in the U.S and helps stimulate growth in children and a host of other advantages for all age groups from bone health to lowering blood pressure.

One of the most powerful things you can do for your health is to love yourself and someone else by sharing a hug!
